Kick Monetization & Earnings Calculator
See what Kick requires before you can earn, then enter your subs, viewers and hours for a careful monthly estimate.
Creator Incentive Program members only. Leave 0 if you are not in it.
Sub income uses Kick's fixed 95/5 split ($4.75 kept from a $5 sub); gifted subs count the same. Kick publishes no official ad rates, so the ads estimate is a deliberately conservative range that shifts with your audience's location. Tips and sponsorships are not included.
Subs follow viewers, and on Kick a busy room fills fast. Our weekly Kick viewers plans keep yours looking busy all week.
Kick monetization requirements, in order
Before any of this math applies to you, Kick has to let you earn. There are two gates and most people only hear about the second one.
Affiliate is the first and it is genuinely reachable: roughly 75 followers and 5 hours streamed on the platform, plus a verified phone number, two factor authentication turned on, a couple of recent VODs on your channel and a clean record with no terms of service violations. Clearing it unlocks the things people actually mean when they say monetization: subscriptions, tips, and eligibility to be considered for the hourly incentive programme.
Partner is the serious tier and the numbers are a different order of magnitude: around 75 average concurrent viewers over the previous 30 days, at least 250 unique chatters in that window, roughly 30 hours streamed in the same period, 250 followers and 25 active subscriptions. Note what Kick is measuring there. Two of the five thresholds are about conversation rather than headcount, which tells you what the platform is actually rewarding.
One caution: Kick has revised these thresholds more than once, generally downward, and different sources quote different stream hour figures. Check the current numbers on Kick's own help pages before you plan around them. The calculator below does not care which tier you are in, it only needs your subs and hours.
Two kinds of Kick money
Kick income splits into a predictable half and a foggy half, and this calculator treats them differently on purpose. The predictable half is subscriptions: you keep 95 percent, so a $5 sub leaves $4.75 in your pocket, no tiers, no negotiation, gifted subs identical. Add a fixed hourly rate if you have a Creator Incentive deal and that entire side is exact math. The foggy half is everything tied to viewership, and there we show you a deliberately careful range instead of a confident number nobody can back up.
Why the same subs pay double here
Run the comparison yourself with our Twitch revenue calculator: 100 subs on Twitch's standard split returns about $250, while the same 100 subs on Kick return $475. The gap is the entire economic argument for the platform, and it is why established streamers with loyal, gifting heavy communities made the jump early. The trade off is a smaller discovery pool, so the split favors you exactly as much as your community follows you there.
The hourly program, demystified
Kick's Creator Incentive Program pays selected streamers a fixed rate per hour streamed, separate from subs entirely. It is invite only, rates are individually negotiated and confidentiality is common, which is why the calculator takes your rate as an input instead of guessing one. If you are not in the program, leave it at zero; your projection is then pure subscription income, which is the honest baseline for most channels.
Why your audience's location changes everything
Kick has no official public ad rates, but one pattern from creator reports is consistent: viewer geography decides almost everything. A thousand viewer hours from the US, UK or Western Europe are worth real advertiser money; the same thousand hours from lower income regions can pay literal cents. That is the reason this calculator asks where your audience mostly watches from and scales the ad estimate by region tier, and it is why we default to the mixed audience setting rather than the flattering Tier 1 numbers. If your estimate looks small, it is because honest usually does.
When the money actually reaches you
Clearing a threshold is not the same as getting paid. Kick pays out through Stripe once your accumulated balance passes 50 dollars, on a weekly cycle, which is noticeably faster than the monthly schedule with a payout delay that Twitch streamers are used to. For a channel sitting just above the Affiliate line, the practical effect is that the first payout arrives in weeks rather than months, provided the balance clears the minimum.
What is still not in the number
Tips through third party services and sponsorships stay excluded, since both swing from zero to rent money with no pattern worth modeling. Treat them as upside: welcome when they land, never budgeted. If the calculator's output covers your streaming costs, the variable income on top is where growth starts feeling real.
Subs are downstream of a busy room
Nobody subscribes to an empty stream. On Kick especially, where browsing culture favors active chats, the viewer count on your tile is your storefront. Gifted sub waves, the fastest income events on the platform, almost always happen in rooms that already feel alive. Building that baseline is the grind, and our free Kick viewers option exists for exactly the cold start stretch. Fill the room, let the 95/5 math do the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Kick's monetization requirements?
There are two gates. Affiliate needs roughly 75 followers and 5 hours streamed, plus a verified phone number, two factor authentication, a couple of recent VODs and no terms of service violations. Partner is far steeper: around 75 average concurrent viewers over 30 days, 250 unique chatters, roughly 30 hours streamed in that window, 250 followers and 25 active subscriptions.
How do I get monetized on Kick as a new streamer?
Clear the Affiliate requirements first, because that is the tier that actually unlocks subscriptions and tips. It is a low bar by design and most consistent streamers reach it within a few weeks. Partner comes later and is about sustained concurrent viewers and chat activity rather than anything you can rush.
When does Kick pay out?
Weekly through Stripe, once your accumulated balance passes 50 dollars. That is quicker than the monthly cycle with a payout delay that Twitch streamers are used to, so a channel just over the Affiliate line usually sees a first payment in weeks rather than months.
What does Kick's 95/5 split mean?
Kick keeps 5 percent of subscription revenue and you keep 95. A $5 sub pays you $4.75, roughly double what the same sub would leave you on Twitch's standard split.
How is the ad estimate calculated?
From viewer hours, your average viewers times hours streamed, at a deliberately low unofficial rate scaled by your audience's region. Kick publishes no official ad rates, so we would rather undershoot than promise money that never arrives.
Does my audience's country really matter that much?
Yes, more than almost anything else. Advertisers pay real money for viewers in the US, UK and Western Europe, while the same thousand views from lower income regions can earn cents. That is why changing the region selector swings the estimate so hard.
What is the hourly program?
Kick's Creator Incentive Program pays selected streamers a fixed hourly rate for streaming. It is invite only, rates vary per deal, so enter yours if you have one and leave zero if not.
Do gifted subs count?
Yes. A gifted sub pays out exactly like a regular one, which is why big gifting nights matter so much on Kick.
